We had a good 13-night stay. The apartment was as described, and Waner was responsive and easy to communicate with.
The location is excellent. We loved exploring the Zona Colonial on foot, with restaurants, cafés, shops, parks, and historic sites within walking distance. We felt safe throughout our stay thanks to the many tourists and visible police presence. This part of the Zona Colonial is quieter than some of the busier streets while still being close to everything.
The rooftop was a great bonus, with beautiful views of the Monumento a Fray Antón de Montesinos.
If you're driving, street parking is usually available nearby. During our 13-night stay, we parked on the same block every day except one evening. Parking can be difficult Friday through Sunday evenings, but we found this area easier for parking than other parts of the Zona Colonial.
We would happily recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Santo Domingo.

The apartment's location is unbeatable, and Warner is very communicative and helpful when resolving any issues that arise. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay (3.3/5), but there were some unexpected circumstances.
There is very little to no noise insulation, so traffic noise can be heard late at night, and leaf blowers will wake you up early in the morning. If you are sensitive to noise, I recommend bringing earplugs; otherwise, you may have trouble getting a good night's sleep.
As soon as we sat down at the dining table—even without food present—ants would appear. We also had to kill several roaches, which is understandable given that the property is located in the Caribbean and is a historic building.
Be aware of a couple of things: the stairs are very strenuous, so if anyone in your party has difficulty with stairs, you may want to book elsewhere. Also, bring your own beach towels, toiletries, soap, and other essentials.

Awesome location, easy to find and the Host response time was very good. I recommend this place it’s the best spot of stayed at this far in Santo Domingo

My group and I loved our stay at Waner’s place. The space is so greatly decorated and the layout of the bedrooms worked super well. We loved spending time on the outdoor patio and the location was perfect. It was so easy to get anywhere in ciudad colonial and it’s right on the lovely malecón. I would definitely stay again!

The place was very inviting after passing through a small entrance. The decorations were lively and the lighting was very well done. There weren’t very amenities but in this location, the city is the main attraction. The balcony was also a nice touch!

It was my first time staying at Warner place . I go to the DR a few times a year as this is by far the best places I’ve stayed . Walking distance to everything. The 3 bedroom was ideal as it was three of us traveling . Would definitely stay there again . Enjoyed the roof top terrace at night .

This Airbnb served as a home for me and my friends for the tike we were in Santo Domingo. The host made sure that we had all we needed for a comfortable and hassle free stay. Booked this place for the eccentric aesthetic and convenient location, it ended up being a safe heaven where all parties felt right at home. Definitely would recommend!

Waner was an extremely attentive and responsive host. We had a couple issues that needed to be addressed relatively quickly and he made it happen. He then followed up to make sure everything was still ok, which was very appreciative. Would recommend this place for a short stay with a larger group!

Nice home in the colonial zone, just a few blocks away from lively restaurants. Waner was very responsive and ready to assist.

Great location and host. We had an ant issue, he sent someone over with spray. Do not lock the door leading to the bedrooms. We made that mistake and were basically locked in the living room overnight. Waner was understanding and sent a locksmith.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Santo Domingo, Zona Colonial! The place was truly beautiful, clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Entering the house was very easy, and the host was amazing throughout our stay. They were extremely helpful with any questions or issues and always responded quickly. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely love to come back again in the future. Highly recommend!

They allowed us to drop our bags off early which was really nice. Great location, close to where we needed to be. The place looked as described. There are power outages but they were resolved fairly quickly. Keep in mind only the rooms have AC so just be ready for that.

My group and I loved it. The apartment is fun and colorful, clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. It has a balcony and it's in front on of Park Montesinos and the huge statue by the same name. The beach is close, but you need to cross the busy street. But it was worth it to experience a beautiful sunset. We felt safe and satisfied. we would come back again.

I stayed at this location for six days it was very convenient, easy access to the building, quiet neighborhood. The place was clean and had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. I would definitely stay again in the future.

Nice stay. Communicating with the hosts was really good. The place itself was in a great location and there was a minor outage the host did great communicating and providing updates. The space was really unique and would absolutely stay again without hesitation!

I really, really liked this place! It kind felt like we were in an artsy treehouse and I loved it! There was plenty of space for everyone and I loved the way the bedrooms were arranged because it still gave everyone privacy which was nice. The location was great. We had a car, but we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go and never needed the car. The area felt very safe. There are tons of restaurants you can walk to and lots of museums and galleries that were easy to get to on foot. The host was very accommodating to us needing to drop our luggage off a little early. I would definitely stay here again.

As described and close to everything. Loved waking up early in the morning, taking a run on the malecon or walking around saying good morning to the locals and drinking Cafecitos. Close to EVERYTHING. Really loved staying there. Waner was also very helpful and responsive. Would def stay again. Thank you for having us.

Great location super close to the colonial zone about a 5 minute walk. The area is very easygoing and locals friendly. There is street parking right in front of the apartment

Place was clean and close to everything. We walked to most places.. spacious and good for bigger groups since rooms are separated. AC in the bedrms are strong and helpful. The host was helpful and responsive.

Waner was a great host. I left my passport and Waner went above and beyond to get it back to me. I will always be grateful for that.

Great opportunity; great spot right in an excellent location of Santo Domingo. I would definitely stay there again.

As a family of four, we had plenty of space. The AC units in the bedrooms worked great and were not too loud or strong and seemed to hold the temperature fine. We arrived by car and were relieved that the street parking was free and so convenient directly in front of the apartment. Waner replied immediately in our correspondence. Lots of restaurants, groceries and sights in walking distance. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings. All good and would recommend!

I recently stayed at an Airbnb that had its pros and cons. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the area and access local attractions. Communication with the host was excellent; they were responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
However, the apartment itself left something to be desired. It felt quite old, and cleanliness was an issue, as the floors were dirty upon arrival. Additionally, the water flow in the bathroom was disappointingly slow, which was inconvenient.
While the space could accommodate a larger group—perhaps more suitable for six couples seeking privacy—it wasn't ideal for just couples. Another downside was the lack of air conditioning in the salon and kitchen area, which made those spaces uncomfortable during warmer days.
Overall, while the location and host communication were strong points, the apartment's condition and amenities could use some significant improvements.

Me and some friends stayed at this Airbnb for about a week. And we had a great time. The place was spacious and I loved how all of our rooms had a different color theme to it. Waner was very responsive and always checked in to make sure we were OK or if we needed anything. Even when there were issues with the shower pressure, he was able to effectively communicate with us to fix that. He was also very flexible with checking in and checking out. I had the orange room and it is probably been one of the best rooms I’ve ever seen in.
Me and Jordan stay here and we loved how the location was walkable to just about any restaurant that we wanted to try. And it was very easy for us to navigate.
The rooms were clean, the sites from the rooftop are beautiful and we’d love to sit outside on the patio to just relax.

A hidden gem with local charm!
We had a slight hiccup with our travel plans and ended up arriving a day late, but Warner was incredibly understanding and flexible, which immediately put us at ease. Check-in was a breeze, and the location couldn't have been better! There was so much to see and do right on our doorstep.
What we loved most was the authentic local vibe. It was such a refreshing change to stay somewhere that felt like a real neighborhood rather than a tourist trap. We felt completely safe throughout our stay.
And the decor? Wow! Such a fun curated space. The photos don't do it justice.
We can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience!

The place is beautiful, in the Colonial Zone, and close to restaurants and the ocean. The place is easy to find and comfortable, and it shoes the host put alot of effort making the place comfortable. The fridge broke before arriving and the Host was nice enough to notify and gave the option for us to find another accomodation, which we decided not to, and do not regret our decision!

Nice place for a few nights to explore the zona colonial. The place is super cute and very comfortable with firm beds, TVs, and ACs in all rooms. It is up two sets of stairs, but very quaint. The neighborhood is nice but very loud even at night.

Great stay. Apartment was clean and greatly decorated so colorful! Pretty good location in the colonial zone. The host was extremely responsive and helpful and 3 private rooms with full bathrooms was amazing.

We recently stayed at Waner’s Penthouse at La Zona Colonial, and it was absolutely fantastic—definitely my favorite place! The property was exactly as described, and each room was incredibly artistic and fun, showcasing a unique charm that made our stay memorable. The attention to detail was impressive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. We had an amazing time exploring the area, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. This place is great and unique . It is across from the ocean and a few blocks from the center of the colonial zone . The decorations are colorful and island cool. The rooms all have AC and their own bathroom. The main room does not have a bathroom but that is not a problem . The host is amazing and very responsive .
There are lots of steps and if you are parking it can be challenge.
The terrace is huge and when it is not raining it is amazing to hangout and look over the historical spaces and park .

This placewas so underrated I loved it's better than I expected and offers everything youd want in an airbnb.

Muy buen airbnb si quieres pasar tu estancia en SD y si eres de LATAM te adaptarás muy bien. Waner nos dejó claras las indicaciones y pudimos tener unos días agradables en la ciudad.
Como recomendación NO dejes comida en el suelo del airbnb ya que llegan hormigas.

Eine tolle Unterkunft, nur zu Empfehlen. Sauber, mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, die Terrasse schon ein Highlight. Die ganze Wohnung ist hat eine Top Lage. Man fühlt sich sehr sicher dort. Wir kommen gerne wieder,denn wir haben beschlossen unsere Reise dort zu beenden wo wir begonnen haben.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour chez Waner. La grandeur était parfaite pour 5 personnes. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la localisation, qui permet de facilement visiter la zona coloniale à pied. La grande terrasse est également un point fort de ce logement, nous y avons déplacé la table pour pouvoir manger à l'extérieur.

Recomiendo con entusiasmo este lugar: su ubicación es inmejorable, en pleno centro, con un entorno seguro y una decoración exquisita. Las camas ofrecen una comodidad excepcional. Durante mi estancia, especialmente en días de lluvia, disfruté de la vista de los árboles mientras caía la lluvia, una experiencia sumamente relajante desde la comodidad de la cama. Además, la comunicación con Waner fue impecable.

lugar super céntrico, el apartamento muy lindo, y a la par hay un parque que por las noches se pone super alegre donde puedes beber algo platicar con amigos, escuchar música y relajarte un buen rato, lo sentimos bastante seguro.

Justo enfrente del apartamento el parque de San José en el que además de ser precioso y muy bien cuidado, es lugar de grupos que trabajan en diferentes actividades culturales de gran interés

Excelente ubicación, un departamento hermoso, inmejorable vista en el cual pasamos día maravillosos en familia. Waner nos brindó facilidades en el check in y check out. Si bien está ubicado en el tercer piso, vale totalmente la pena por la vista y la hermosa terraza.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié la terrasse avec vue sur la mer, la variété des couleurs de la maison, la qualité du mobilier. J'ai trouvé dans cette maison exactement ce que je cherchais. Warner s'est montré très disponible et accueillant.

El mejor alojamiento en el centro histórico. Esta ubicado en una área muy conveniente. Hay mucho restaurantes, bars, parques, y monumentos a poca distancia del alojamiento. Waner nos dio una experiencia inolvidable con sus estilo y más que todo sus comunicaciones rápida.

В целом жилье интересно, было не совсем чисто. Шумно , очень слышно дорогу, как отдыхают люди , но это вполне нормально когда выбираешь такое место.

El lugar es acogedor y muy bonito, es igual que en las fotos, sin embargo hay que subir una escalera larga para llegar a la casa. Está muy bien ubicado. El dueño estuvo muy pendiente y nos dio buenas recomendaciones. Se fue la luz durante la mayoría del tiempo de nuestra estadía, lo cual fue muy incómodo, pero depende del servicio de la ciudad.
